The cornea- of the transparent outermost part of the eyeball – is the only living tissue in the body that dose not have blood vessels. it receives nutrients from the tears and from the layer beneath it (the aqueous humor ) ,and it receives oxygen directly from the air. the cornea does, however ,have nerve endings: in fact, it is densely packed with nerves, making it one of the most sensitive parts of the human body.
iron
A healthy adult body contains about 3-4 grams of the element iron about the same amount in a small nail .more than half of the body’s iron is locked up in molecules of the hemoglobin in red blood cells. meat contains “heme iron” while vegetables contain “non heme” iron. heme iron is more easily absorbed by the body than non-heme iron-and vitamin c helps increase absorption.
All meat an fish contains plenty of iron. while good vegetables sources include spinach, tofu, and rasins
